Randall Clifford
Randall Clifford pots under the name of Studio 55. Randall's
background is one of science and technology, as he
graduated with a degree in Geology. However after a number of years he felt the need to
change. The results are
Studio 55. He is a self taught potter and takes satisfaction in having created a line of
pottery that is not only
functional, but also pleasing to the eye. Randall works both in stoneware and raku. His
"Japanese" style
evolved naturally from his love for clean lines and simple forms. All the products that
you see here are
environmentally friendly. The "enviro" candles can be burnt using olive oil or peanut oil.
There are a number of
colours in this line. The ones that the Galleria carry are: Vista, Splash, Sage Green,
Sky Blue and Tiger Eye.
Randall's Zen-Western approach to pottery is expressed by his devotion to his craft and in
every Studio 55
creation. Anyone would be pleased to own a piece of his pottery.
